Caesars Entertainment is ready to begin taking mobile sports wagers and announced Friday an offer for New York sports betting mobile customers.
Caesars Sportsbook is offering up to a $1,500 deposit match when you deposit $50 or more. It will be paid as a single free bet to be added to your account within two business days. Opening a Caesars account is free.
The renowned company is ready to go Saturday morning after being picked as one of four operators that cleared proper channels by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) on Thursday. All four were allowed to start their betting engines no earlier than 9 a.m. Saturday.
’New York Is a Special Place’
Chris Holdren, co-president of Caesars Digital, knows that operating in New York is a privilege and opportunity.
”From Buffalo to the Bronx, New York is a special place and we’re grateful for the chance to show the Empire State what it’s like to be a part of the Caesars Empire," Holdren said. "We know many New Yorkers have already played with us at one of our more than 50 destinations across the country, and Caesars Sportsbook will put the thrill of sports betting into the palm of their hands as the only app in the market that will reward them with every bet they place through our Caesars Rewards program.”

Caesars Now Live in 20 States
Currently, Caesars Sportsbook is live in 20 states and jurisdictions (14 of which offer mobile options) and operates the largest number of retail sportsbooks across the country.
“We’ve been looking forward to the opportunity to bring mobile sports betting to New York. With more than 19 million people, New York will be the biggest mobile sports betting market in the country, and we feel we are uniquely positioned to bring an incredible product to that market,” Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, said in a November news release. On Nov. 8, Caesars was one of nine operators that the NYSGC selected for a mobile sports betting license within state confines.
Joining Caesars among the first four of state’s licensed mobile sports operators to be allowed to go live Saturday are FanDuel NY, Rush Street Interactive (parent company of BetRivers NY) and DraftKings.
The other five will be added on a rolling basis when they have met all of the state’s statutory regulations. That group consists of Bally Bet, WynnBET, PointsBet NY, Resorts World and BetMGM NY.
Caesars Has Numerous Deals with Teams
Caesars Sportsbook is also the official casino sponsor and an official sports betting partner of the NFL and has partnerships with the NBA, NHL, MLB, and more than 20 individual teams across the country. It also is the exclusive odds provider for ESPN and CBS Sports.
As Deeg noted, New York is widely considered to be the crown jewel in mobile sports betting.
With 19.3 million residents, New York is the fourth-largest state in population, but No. 1 California (39.6 million) and No. 2 Texas (29.7 million) do not have sports betting and might not for several years at least.
The third state in total population, Florida, has been tangled in legal challenges after previously having only one sportsbook run by the Seminole Tribe (Hard Rock Sportsbook). Currently, there is no sports betting at all in Florida.
